THE TRUMPET AND VIAL JUDGMENTS OCCUR SIMULTANEOUSLY
More evidence for the Post-Tribulation Pre-Wrath Model

Many people erroneously believe the vials come after the trumpets. The truth is that the trumpets come after the seals—but the trumpets and vials occur simultaneously. There are many easy ways to prove this. But in this short article, I want to cover just one way to demonstrate irrefutably that the trumpet and vial judgments occur simultaneously.
The reader will notice that in verse 10 of Revelation 16, the Antichrist still has his kingdom:
Revelation 16:10
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
In this verse, we see the fifth vial being poured out on the kingdom of the beast. The pouring out of the fifth vial during God’s wrath period is darkness. Now I want to compare this verse with verse 15 of Revelation 11:
Revelation 11:15
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Remember—the Antichrist’s kingdom becomes darkness as the fifth vial is poured out. Let me reiterate this important point: the beast’s kingdom is full of darkness as a result of the outpouring of the fifth vial. The trumpets and vials must occur concurrently or simultaneously because it is at the seventh trumpet that the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Millennium). But at the fifth vial, the beast still has his kingdom. This proves that the fifth vial comes before the seventh trumpet since the trumpets and the vials compliment each other (1st trumpet, 1st vial, 2nd trumpet, 2nd vial, 3rd trumpet, 3rd vial, etc.).
Anybody who has read my book End Times Revealed Dawn of the Antichrist knows that I thoroughly cover the two-part chronology of the book of Revelation. Understanding this two-part chronology is extremely important when interpreting Bible prophecy and last days theology.
Revelation 11 ended with the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ (the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever). This is why in chapter 12 of Revelation we jump back in time to the 1st century AD with the birth of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Revelation 12 is where the book of Revelation restarts the chronology. Chapters 1 to 11 are in a near-perfect chronological order with chapters 12 to 22 representing another near-perfect chronology. This is why we read about the tribulation in both Revelation 6 and Revelation 13. We also find the rapture being described in chapter 7 (the great multitude that no man could number) and chapter 14 (the son of man coming on a white cloud). And in both chronologies, we get the same series of events. This series of events comprise the tribulation, rapture, and then God’s wrath.
The book of Revelation is therefore in chronological order—but you have to make sure to split the book in half (Revelation 1 to 11 and then Revelation 12 to 22). Since Revelation 11 represents the end of God’s wrath and the beginning of the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ—and Revelation 12 restarts the chronology—the vials of God’s wrath must occur at the same time as the trumpet judgments.
It is important that we understand both the trumpets and vials must occur before the Millennium. Sound and consistent Eschatology is important. Revelation literally means “to be revealed”. And by understanding the chronology of Revelation we can guarantee that we are interpreting the scriptures in the most coherent and sophisticated manner possible. This will safeguard against sloppy eschatological positions (such as pre-tribulation rapturism, amillennialism, postmillennialism, and preterism).
There are many reasons why it cannot be the case that the vials come after the trumpets. And this is just one of those many reasons. But this reason alone is enough to refute the claim that the vials come after the trumpets. As a matter of fact—this one truth alone is enough to preclude such an idea.
